Tech Stars (Grades K - 2)

Robot Rally 1
Calling all artists, creative writers, event planners, photographers and robot builders! Your talents are needed to design, build, program and film this event. You will work with ProBot and Spybots. Your challenge: Design&create rally events. Build the Spybots. Writers and photographers document the process. Compare each robot's attributes. Assign them specific events designed by the event planners! Cameras are poised and ready, waiting for the Master of Ceremonies to begin the rally. Final movies will be posted to our blog and private YouTube® account. Please note: our private YouTube® account is only accessible to our students and their families.

Razzle Dazzle Robotics
Video Animation soars to a new level when MIT's Scratch® joins forces with Lego® WeDo®. Create your own video animation using Scratch. Build 3D Lego robots with communication sensors. Use the most innovative tools available to direct on-screen actions. Who starts the process, the program you create or the 3D robot you build? Only you, the designer, knows!

It's Simply Delicious Cooking Camp (Grades 2 - 6)

Come take a culinary journey around the world in the JCC's kitchen with personal chef and It's Simply Delicious owner, Lynn Hanna. Lynn will take the campers from Mexico to Israel to France and back to America with the unique cuisines the campers will cook, bake, and create.

Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts Camp (Grades K - 6)

New Ideas, New Art!
Join Camp JCC and DCCA for a whole new experience as we introduce the children's art camp, New Ideas, New Art! Students will work with a DCCA Teaching Artist to explore the world of contemporary art through a number of themes, including narrative, abstraction, installation, and ephemeral art. Art activities will utilize a variety of media including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, installation, and mixed media. Curriculum includes individual projects as well as collaborative art making. Projects will include a variety of themes, materials, and approaches that are guaranteed to open your mind to what is NEW!

Science Camp (Grades K - 2)

Thar's science in them thar toys!
Come join 'Professor' Bob as he 'plays' his way through the Science of Toys. Why does that car move? How come that yo-yo goes up and down? What makes an airplane fly? How does that monkey climb up that string? These and other mysteries of how toys work will be explored and investigated. Got any old - broken toys you would like dissected? Bring 'em on in! From dolls to dinos we will check out everything. This is definitely a girl and boy class.

TechStars presents Bricks, Beams,&Simple Machines (Grades 3 - 6)

Experience the "fun" in engineering!
LEGO Education Technic kits are the tools used to explore&investigate simple machines (gear, forces, structures, wheels&axles levers). Use our "project build process" to create prototypes. Participate in "team" challenges. Fine tune your machines using applied science and mathematics. Learn why teamwork and cooperation are essential in engineering. Students will work with over 800 LEGO pieces throughout the week.

The Little Theatre Performing Arts Camp (Grades 3 - 6)
July 9 - July 20
Join the Siegel JCC and The Little Theatre for our 2nd summer together. The Little Theatre is happy to present a fun and original camp experience that will give every student an opportunity to shine on stage. With the guidance of their teacher, campers will create an original play incorporating their own creative ideas and characters. Their creation will be adapted into a professionally written script, to be rehearsed and performed for parents and guests! In addition, students will learn the fundamentals of acting and stage presence through theatre exercises/games, improvisation, and basic stage technique. The instructor is a professional actor/teaching artist with a BA Degree in Theatre and numerous professional stage credits.
A performance for friends and family will be held the evening of July 19th and an all camp show will be held during the day on Friday, July 20th.

Space Camp - Rockets - Rockets - Rockets!
July 23 - July 27
This year's space camp will be looking heavenly. We'll be looking to see what we can see in the night sky. Lots of take home projects and maybe even some homework (in the Summer?? Oh No!) to record what you see above. Telescopes, Binoculars,
and your eyes are all good instruments for seeing things in the night sky, and we'll learn how to use them all. Of course there will be rocket building and lots of it! including the Rocket Repair Workshop! There will be new activities and projects for our Future Astronauts of America. This is girl and boy friendly.
Junior Space Camp (entering grades K - 2)

NJ "Y" (Grades 3 - 6)
July 29 - August 3 (Sunday - Friday)
Continue the tradition... spend 1 week at the NJ "Y" overnight camp located in Milford, PA. Campers will have a unique opportunity to take advantage of all that an overnight camp has to offer for one special week.
Fee: $830 (All expenses are included in fee)
