The Early Childhood Center provides an atmoshere which nourishes your child's natural curiosity and excitement and allows your child to flourish as an individual. Using a hands-on, play based approach, the ECC creates an environment that stimulates the whole child.

Our staff strives to instill a good sense of morals and values in our children by emphasizing community, dignity and respect at every age level.

Our programs are designed to meet the emotional, social, physical and cognitive development of each child in a warm, creative and nurturing environment.

Our History

early childhood Our state of the art school was specifically designed withyoung children in mind. There are fourteen bright, well-equipped classroom and bathroom suites in our safe and secured building. Our playgrounds are inviting to children as well as being age specific. The library is one that any preschool would love to have for their children. Along with our full sized gymnasium, indoor and outdoor pools and our beautiful campus, your child will experience all the best that Siegel JCC has to offer every day.

The Early Childhood Center is committed to successfully providing a superior preschool education for children during the most impressionable phase of life. Our teachers and administrative staff are highly qualified, competent and caring educators knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs of young children. Our program is both nationally accredited by NAEYC as well as having a Five Star rating through the Delaware Stars Quality Assurrance Program. We maintain an excellent student to teacher ratio which is significantly lower than the Delaware and national requirements. All of these things allow us to help you child develop a healthy, wholesome and positive self-concept and they will graduate our program better prepared to meet the challenges of their futures.

Our Philosophy

The foundation of the Early Childhood Center's program is quality education in a positive atmosphere of security and love, which respects the uniqueness and importance of each child. While motivating the children through play, our caring and experienced staff helps them to broaden their experiences, build relationships with peers and adults and develop a healthy and positive self-concept. Our environment is rich in stimulation, yet gentle and accepting of each child as he or she develops at his or her own pace.

While children of all religious, ethnic and racial background are most welcome, we are a Jewish preschool, and we stress the values of respect, tradition, dignity, kindness, responsibility and community. We encourage children to know and respect their own heritage and to respect the cultures and traditions of others. In our program, your child will develop intellectually, physically, socially, spiritually and emotionally.
