Aquatics Programs include:


This 32-hour course will give you the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. It will also prepare you to be a first responder in a breathing or cardiac emergency, an injury, or a sudden illness. Participants must be 15 years of age or older and able to demonstrate swimming proficiency.

Lifeguard Re-certification/Blended Learning Course

This is an abbreviated Lifeguarding course that briefly reviews course information and allows practice of skills and knowledge before testing. This recert course utilizes Blended Learning, a mixture of online course work and an in-person skills session. The online course material MUST be completed in advance prior to the in-person skills session. Therefore, we recommend registering as early as possible so that you will have sufficient time to access and complete the online course work. At the time of the first skills session, participants must show proof of certification as well as proof of completion of online materials. * Current certification in Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED is required to participate in the review course. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED which is valid for 2 years. *


  • Skills Sessions Option 3: Friday, December 21st (3:30 - 5:30 PM) & Saturday, December 22nd (9 AM - 5 PM)


Babysitters Training

Participants will learn techniques in basic care, first aid, introductory CPR and how to be the best babysitter possible! For ages 11-15. All classes run 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM.

Water Aerobics

Group Fitness Schedule

The J offers a variety of water aerobics classes that provide a low impact experience designed to stretch muscles, loosen joints, and help alleviate arthritis. 

Water Aerobics – Perfect for obtaining aerobic exercise in a low impact environment. Our class focuses on stretching and loosening joints which can help with physical therapy, tight muscles, and arthritis.

Senior Aerobics – Low impact, low intensity activity perfect for loosening muscles and joints. Our instructors use Arthritis Association sanctioned exercises in the class. Perfect for Senior Center Members! 

Senior Deep Water Aerobics – Arthritis Association sanctioned, low impact exercises in deep water that focus a little more on aerobics. Perfect for Senior Center Members! 

High Intensity Deep Water Aerobics – A high intensity water workout in the deep end of the pool. Instructor focuses on toning and cardio using hand weights and noodles.
