ANN & ABBS GETTIN' ABS: DAY 17

Alright, so I woke up this morning prepared for yoga. I thought Tabata was just another fancy yoga term like "vinyasa"....... no. No, it's not. It couldn't be farther from yoga. 

Tabata is essentially another form of interval training. You do the same exercise in 30 second intervals for 8 rounds. In typical Tabata, it's 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off: not in Kathy's class. And, honestly, I loved that. A 10 second break leaves me wiggle room to quit. Instead, Kathy occupied our time with 10 seconds of a different activity, which allowed us to keep our heart rates up. 

Kathy makes sure you're not working out the same muscles too many times in a row. I get the impression that the sets of exercises change week to week, but today, I would say we did an even amount of legs and arms, finishing of with 4 minutes of brutal core.

I would genuinely take this class again. I think I'm going to make it a weekly thing. I sweat, I felt exhausted, but I left feeling good.
