For over forty years, JCC Maccabi® has been rallying and uniting the Jewish community around a positive, unparalleled, and transformative Jewish experience.
Through the universal lens of sport—the most inclusive and influential vehicle for teen engagement—JCC Maccabi inspires Jewish‑identity building, strengthens global connections among Jewish teens, and cultivates the next generation of proud Jewish leaders.
A Global Jewish Experience
As the largest organized Jewish youth sports platform in the world, JCC Maccabi brings together each summer:
- 3,000+ Jewish teen athletes (ages 13-17) and coaches
- 10,000+ family members, volunteers, spectators, and leaders
- Participants from more than 75 global Jewish communities
While Olympic‑style competition draws teens to the week‑long program, it is the deeply meaningful Jewish experience woven throughout—ceremonies, service learning, Israeli engagement, and relationship‑building—that remains with participants for a lifetime.
Core Values & Jewish Life
Six core JCC Maccabi midot (values) guide every aspect of the experience—from Opening Ceremonies to the JCC Cares service‑learning program and educational HangTime hosted by schlichim from Israel.
siegel jcc returns to the games
In 2025, four outstanding teen athletes proudly represented Delaware at the JCC Maccabi Games for the first time in more than a decade. Hosted that year in Pittsburgh at the University of Pittsburgh, the Games brought together Jewish teens from across the globe for a powerful week of competition, connection, and shared identity.
