"Pound" is proof that the length of a workout has nothing to do with how hard it is.
Half an hour on a Monday after work? Easy! I thought. It was the first class we were doing in the evening, and I'd gotten a lot of rest in the days before. Plus, if I could make it through an hour of Spin, I could do half an hour of... drumstick banging? What even was Pound?
Pound is the most fun I've had working out potentially ever. Strike that: it's the most fun I've had in the last week in general. And it HURT.
Pound is basically a cardio workout using (slightly longer, slightly heavier) drumsticks; it incorporates squats, core, and lunges into an already strenuous arm workout.
Two best things about Pound: 1) Unlike some Zumba classes, you can easily follow all of these movements. 2) If you have a bad back or knees, Davina will help you out. She gives you modified movements for anything that she feels may strain.
Her energy was AMAZING, too! You just wanted to smile at her infectious personality, and she made the movements feel easy. Pressure off Monday night, pain on Tuesday morning. Everyone should go take Pound and feel the burn!!
