COACH CONNOR |
Coach Connor, a standout athlete from Pennington High School, rose to prominence as a 4-year varsity starter and team captain, earning accolades such as 3x All-State and All-Conference honors, Prep Player of the Year, and Rawlings Baseball All-Atlantic Region recognition. Transitioning to Lehigh University, he became a 3x All-Conference player, garnered national attention as a Foul Pole Sports National D1 Player of the Week, and was pivotal in his team's Patriot League championship run. Inducted into the 2023 Kaiserman JCC Athletic Hall of Fame, Connor's journey epitomizes excellence both on the field and in collegiate athletics.
| COACH BEN |
Coach Ben Murray, a former utility player and Concord High School alum, specializes in pitching and fielding. He was a right-handed pitcher, first baseman, third baseman, and outfielder, and has over twelve years of competitive playing experience. He is a five-time all-star and was the starting pitcher for his team in the 2014 Brandywine Invitational Tournament. He has extensive knowledge in all facets of the game and always takes a technique-centered approach to coaching. He received his B.S. in Exercise Science from Liberty University, is an ACSM certified exercise physiologist, and has conducted extensive research on the biomechanics of long-toss training and its effects on pitching performance. He pays attention to the small details and loves to see improvement and growth in the athletes he coaches.
| COACH JONATHAN |
Jonathan Mbau has been a part of the Aquatics Team at the J for almost 2 years. In that time, he completed American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Training and is certified to teach swimming lessons. He is an excellent teacher and has worked with people of all ages on Swim Team, Group Swim Lessons, and Private Swim Lessons. In addition to swimming, Jonathan picked up a soccer ball 15 years ago and never let go! He played in high school, recreationally through Concord Soccer, and continues to play today in the Heyday 18+ League where his team is trying to win back-to-back seasons. He learned a lot from his coaches over the years but attributes the bulk of his skill development to countless solo backyard sessions. Fullback and wing are his positions of choice and he’s a die-hard Arsenal fan. In the spring of 2024, he had the opportunity to combine his teaching skills and passion for soccer by coaching our Junior Maccabi Boys Soccer Team. He’s really excited to get on the field and share all he’s learned about The Beautiful Game.
